I am on a mission to help the world become a better place one person and one relationship at a time by helping you improve your life and your relationships. Why, you might ask, is that my mission?
How am I qualified to help you?
For 17 years, I have worked with individuals and couples to help them create more fulfilling lives and closer relationships. Initially, I worked solely as a licensed professional counselor, and I’m currently licensed in both California and Texas. In the last several years, I’ve added helping individuals as a relationship and life coach, and am now also a Board Certified Coach. If you want to know more about the differences between coaching and therapy and why I now offer both services, please visit the Resources tab.
Specific to relationship coaching & counseling, I have been trained in and have experience applying both the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. These are considered key and effective methodologies for working with couples in therapy. I adapt their use to a relationship coaching approach, which is more unstructured, collaborative, and goal-oriented.

Here’s what I know about the world today. Lots of studies proclaim that there is a global loneliness pandemic. Divorce statistics continue to be high, causing disruptions of families, mental health concerns and financial struggles. Studies show that the number of people who have close friendships has declined significantly over the last decade. At the same time, anxiety and depression exist in double digits and suicide is one of the leading causes of death in our country. The statistics around domestic violence and relationship abuse are not any rosier. On the work front, almost half of employees in the US are dissatisfied with their jobs.
So, what does all of this have to do with working with a coach or a counselor? People can weather the storms of life, grow in positive ways, be more authentic, and meet their goals when they feel heard and supported. In addition, men and women who maintain strong and meaningful relationships have reduced stress, lower rates of anxiety and depression and better overall mental health outcomes. You can add to that list higher self-esteem, stronger immune systems, longer life spans, and happier lives. These are not just opinions but the result of many research studies over several years.
What can you expect from our work together?
I will provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for you either as part of a couple or individually. From this space, we’ll explore what matters in your life and relationships and how to get there. Together, we will discover who you are as a person, how you show up in relationships and life in general, and then gain clarity about what is working and where you’d like to see changes. To effect change we will look at appropriate and realistic tools and strategies you can use.
My experience as a coach, counselor, and business professional often provides a fresh perspective that my clients find helpful in their goal-seeking journeys.
Always, my number one goal is for you to feel safe, seen, heard, and understood in our sessions. This environment will allow you to gain the clarity, internal strength, and ability to create and maintain the meaningful changes needed to live a better life, the one you dream of having.
“Change is painful, but nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.”
